Great Regional Location
Barry has always been fortunate to be served by several major roadways as they were constructed in the region. In its early days, the community was served by the railroad and US Highway 36. Several years later, the railroad running through the community was developed into Illinois Highway 106. In the early 1990's, the Central Illinois Expressway (CIE)/US 36/ Interstate 72 was developed giving Barry another great location on a major roadway.
